Members of the deaf community in Georgia took to the streets yesterday to fight for a million dollars they say belongs to three public schools that serve the blind and the deaf.

The million was won by Georgia’s Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox on a television game show.

But then her husband filed for bankruptcy and the money is now tied up in court. The state of Georgia says it belongs to the schools, but creditors want their share.
