Georgia’s mail-in participation for the Census so far has equaled that of the count 10 years ago.

Federal Census officials say 69-percent of Georgians have mailed their forms back. The state is one of 19 to meet or surpass mail-in rates from the 2000 count.

Starting the weekend of May 1st, Census workers begin going door-to-door to do in-person visits to those yet not counted.
