Alfalfa sprouts sold in hundreds of Wal-Mart stores in Georgia and 14 other states have been recalled due to suspected salmonella poisoning.

Federal health officials say the raw sprouts appear to have sickened more than 20 people in 10 states—nearly a dozen of those people in California.

Wal-Mart says the sprouts were sold by Caldwell Fresh Foods out of California.

More than 50 Wal-Mart stores in Georgia were affected by the recall.
