The Georgia Emergency Management Agency is calling for donations to aid in the recovery in Spalding County from last week's deadly tornadoes.

Two people were killed and 341 homes and businesses were reported destroyed or damaged in the county.

GEMA says that beginning on Thursday, donated goods will be received at a center at 819 Memorial Drive in Griffin from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day until further notice.

The agency says the greatest need is for nonperishable food. Other items needed include bottled water, building supplies, baby formula, diapers, cribs, strollers, car seats, household items such as coffee makers and pots and pans, blankets, paper goods and personal hygiene products.

GEMA says used clothing donations are not needed.
