The Georgia Board of Education is setting up 13 sites around the state where textbooks can be reviewed for the upcoming school year.

This year the review focuses on textbooks in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education for grades 6-12. The recommendation process is on a six year cycle, meaning that these textbooks will be used for the next six years.

These sites are set up at various schools, and are open Monday through Thursday. Anyone can come review the textbooks and make comments about them. The Learning Resources Advisory Group then meets to submit a list of suggestions to the Georgia Board of Education, based on these reviews by the public.

Schools are not required to use textbooks recommended by the Board of Education, but most do.

The review sites will be set up until July 14th.
