Savannah-based celebrity chef Paula Deen has launched a new company, Paula Deen Foods, in partnership with the New York-based grocery retailer Nanco Group.

Deen and partner Steven Nanula said the new company will allow Dean to bring her favorite recipes to families without the hassle and expense of purchasing and making all the ingredients.

The new company will be based in Savannah and hopes to launch its first products in September. The products will be sold in supermarkets, club stores and drug stores.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
