The Atlanta VA medical Center is planning a new specialty care clinic in Decatur and has selected a contractor for the project.

Atlanta VA Medical Center Director Leslie Wiggins said in a statement this week that the new facility will expand clinic capacity to ensure veterans continue to receive "high quality health care that they have earned and deserve."

Greenstone Enterprises, Inc. has been awarded the contract.

The clinic will include primary care, mental health, radiology and other services, and is scheduled to be completed in summer 2015.

VA officials estimate the 83,000-square-foot facility will serve some 37,000 veterans annually.
