More than a hundred people dressed like zombies are getting a jump on Halloween in Macon on Friday.

They'll be dancing an homage to Michael Jackson's classic Thriller video.

Pilar Wilder, dancer and owner of Hayiya Dance Theatre in Macon, has been teaching the highly choreographed jazz styled dance to hundreds of wanna-be zombies in Tattnall Square park once a week.

"Thriller is iconic, everyone loves it. It just is. It’s hard to explain, so don’t try…just go with the flow!"

Marticia Dudley came out with her cousin and some friends to go with the flow.

"It’s just fun! You’re dancing and interacting with new people…it’s fun!" Wilder says Thriller is community at its best.

"The community is really feeling this. This is what we should be doing…everyone is together. All races, all ages. Socioeconomic barriers don’t exist when it comes to Thriller."

Friday's Thriller Dance and Zombie Parade starts a 9 o'clock in downtown Macon.
