Frank Fenter, the late co-founder of Capricorn Records in Macon was recognized for his contributions to the music industry with a posthumous induction into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in October.

The recognition comes more than 30 years since his untimely death at the age of 47.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Fenter moved to Macon, Ga in 1969 to start Capricorn with Phil Walden. Fenter has been recognized for his pioneering efforts through a broad spectrum of musical genres most notably Southern rock, Rhythm and Blues and The British Invasion.

Rob Fenter, Frank’s son has been sharing his father’s story. Over the past five years he’s pushed for Frank to be acknowledged for his contributions to music. “It’s an incredible feeling to see his peers and music artists endorse his contributions to not only Georgia music but to music within the U.S. and from Britain.”
