Woodruff Arts Center Receives Major NEA Grant

The Woodruff Arts Center has announced that it is the recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
The arts center said in a news release the $120,000 Art Works grant will support the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art.
Art Works grants aim to support the creation of art, public engagement with art, lifelong learning in the arts, and enhancement of the livability of communities through the arts.
The Alliance Theatre is set to receive $20,000 for the Alliance/Kendeda Graduate Playwriting Competition.
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will get $40,000 to support Creation/Creator: A Musical Composition by Christopher Theofanidis, celebrating the ASO's 70thAnniversary.
The High will get $60,000 to support an Alex Katz exhibition.
