Authorities say an explosion planned during a movie shoot in Macon did more damage than they anticipated.
The Telegraph reports that a fireball from an exploding bus broke out some windows on the second floors of buildings along Cotton Avenue.
The explosion, around 3:45 a.m. Sunday, was part of filming of the science fiction movie "The Fifth Wave."
Chris Floore, a spokesman for the Macon-Bibb County fire department, said authorities were not aware of any structural damage to buildings.
Floore said the movie stunts, which also included landing a helicopter near Second Street and Cotton Avenue, had been thoroughly discussed in safety planning meetings.
