A 17-year-old boy walking along the train tracks has been struck and killed by a freight train.

WSB-TV reports the teenager was wearing headphones while walking along the tracks Thursday morning near the intersection of U.S. 11 and Cobb Street in Jefferson, 20 miles northwest of Athens.
