The National Transportation Safety Board continues its investigation into the plane crash on Interstate 285 that killed 4 people onboard Friday morning.

NTSB officials say the aircraft will need to be reconstructed before they can determine how the crash occurred.

Officials say the reconstruction could take up to 2 weeks; and it could be months before the full investigation is completed.

The plane crashed into the eastbound lanes of Interstate 285 after taking off from Dekalb-Peachtree Airport around 10 a.m.

The victims, three men and one woman, were reportedly headed to a graduation at the University of Mississippi in Oxford. The men are identified as Christopher, Greg and Phillip Byrd. The woman was identified as Jackie Kulzer, the fiancée of Christopher Byrd.

The plane was a Piper PA-32.
