People of a certain age hear the name Jorma Kaukonen and think of "White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love" - the music of Jefferson Airplane and, later, Jefferson Starship.

Kaukonen founded the 1960s and 1970s band with bassist Jack Casady. Guitarist Kaukonen and Casady later went louder and heavier with the band Hot Tuna.

Now nearing 75 years old, Kaukonen continues recording and playing but its an unplugged rootsy vein that revives the sounds of the blues and Americana.

Kaukonen came to Macon's Cox Capitol Theatre behind his newest album - “Ain’t In No Hurry.”

Rolling Stone magazine calls Kaukonen a "bona fide graybeard folk swami" as it reviews the newest LP.

Below are a few tracks from the album.
