Schools Closed, Neighborhoods Evacuated Due To North Georgia Flooding

Heavy rain is causing problems in North Georgia Wednesday morning.
Schools are closed in Gilmer and Fannin counties, due to flooding and multiple road closures.
Evacuations are taking place, as the Coosawattee River is reaching flood stage. Residents along Corbin Hill Road in Elijay were forced to leave their homes due to a mudslide.
The local Emergency Management Agency has opened a shelter at a middle school.
