Electrolux, a manufacturer of home appliances, says it plans to move its North American headquarters out of Augusta, as the company consolidates its U.S. corporate offices into a single location.

The company employs about 315 people at its headquarters in jobs that include corporate management, sales and marketing. A company spokesman would not confirm how many of those jobs would be transferred to the new location, and how many would be eliminated.

Electrolux's national customer service call center, however, will remain here. The center employs about 100 full-time and 115 temporary workers.

The consolidation will also involve offices in Pittsburgh; Cleveland; Columbus, Ohio; Springfield, Tenn.; Anderson, South Carolina; and Huntersville, North Carolina. The company has not announced which city will house the new headquarters and offices.
