If you’re passionate about food and you like to experiment in the kitchen, don’t miss the “GPB Cooks Online Cooking Contest,” kicking off Friday, January 6 in anticipation of the 2017 season premiere of “America’s Test Kitchen”, Saturday, January 14 at 1 p.m. on GPB TV with new hosts Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster.

As the most popular instructional cooking show on television, “America’s Test Kitchen” is dedicated to giving fans the high quality content they have come to expect like unbiased equipment reviews, taste tests, and foolproof recipes from its test kitchen.
To enter the “GPB Cooks Online Cooking Contest,” which runs January 6 – February 2, visit gpb.org/kitchen-contest and download your choice of three “America’s Test Kitchen” recipes, including Classic Chewy Oatmeal Cookies, Shredded Chicken Tacos and Red Lentil Soup with North African Spices. Once you’ve prepared your dish, snap a photo of it and submit it on the site. Please note that there is one entry per person. Complete contest rules are on the site.

GPB will randomly select three winners, who will be notified on Friday, February 3. Each winner will receive an “America’s Test Kitchen” prize pack and an invitation to dinner with show hosts Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster at popular Midtown Atlanta restaurant Better Half. The menu will feature five course tastings with wine pairings, utilizing “America’s Test Kitchen” recipes.
Both Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster are original cast members of the show, which debuted in 2001.

Julia is the executive editor for the book division of America’s Test Kitchen and began working as a test cook for Cook’s Illustrated in 1999. Bridget is the executive editor for new media, television and radio at America’s Test Kitchen and joined the Cook’s Illustrated team in 1998. As original cast members of “America’s Test Kitchen,” Bridget and Julia have each appeared in more than 300 episodes of the show and have been teaching cooks the secrets to success for 16 years.
“Julia and I love to teach, and our new television roles allow us to help home cooks develop and master new cooking techniques,” said Bridget Lancaster. “Julia and I are ecstatic at the opportunity to host the show.”
