Thurmond Considers Lt. Gov. Run
Primary Content
Georgia's top labor official says he's keeping the door open for a run as Lieutenant Governor. Democrat Michael Thurmond says while he's currently focused on his duties as State Labor Commissioner, he is weighing options and intends to make a decision soon on whether to make a run.
The race for Lieutenant Governor does not currently have a Democratic candidate. Republican Casey Cagle is seeking reelection to the Lieutenant Governor's post.
Thurmond yesterday gave his party's response to Governor Sonny Perdue's State of the State of address.
