Navy Plane Crashes In North Georgia
Primary Content
Navy investigators will be on the scene in extreme north Georgia this morning looking for clues as to what caused a Navy plane to go down and crash in dense woods. Officials say the Florida-based plane just missed hitting a house when it crashed in the wooded area of Fannin County. Three bodies have been recovered, and authorities are looking for a fourth crew member. A spokesman for Naval Air Station Pensacola says no-one on the ground was injured when the T-39N Sabreliner training plane went down. Officials say the plane is part of a training unit that does routine cross-country missions in that area of north Georgia, on the edge of the North Carolina and Tennessee borders.
