Primary Content
A former Georgia Tech football star has died in a car accident.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports 30-year-old Nick Rogers was killed in a single-car wreck in the south Atlanta suburb of College Park. The paper cites the Fulton County medical examiner, saying Rogers' vehicle left the road and hit a power pole. Friends tell the AJC Roger had gotten married less than a month ago.
Rogers was a graduate of St.Pius X. At Georgia Tech, he was part of a vaunted defensive unit in the 2000 and 2001 seasons from his defensive end position.
He played four seasons in the NFL.
