Ga Lottery to Redo Cash 4 Drawing
Primary Content

Let’s try that again.
Georgia Lottery officials announced a do-over of Friday’s midday Cash 4 drawing after a ball machine malfunctioned during the live drawing.
Georgia Lottery spokeswoman Tandi Reddick said a door on one of the lottery machines inadvertently opened, allowing one of the balls to leave the machine during the drawing at 12:29 p.m. Friday.
“We are very serious about the security and integrity of our games,” said Georgia Lottery President and CEO Margaret DeFrancisco in a release. “We regret that the technical malfunction occurred, and we believe that giving our players an extra opportunity to win is the fair thing to do.”
Officials said all winning tickets from Friday's Cash 4 midday drawing are still valid for redemption.
They said they will schedule a bonus drawing because of the malfunction, giving players another chance to win.
