The King Center and the National Park Service are teaming up to remember the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.

The groups are part of a coalition hosting a wreath laying ceremony on the front of Ebenezer Baptist Church April 4, which is the same place a wreath was installed the day after King was assassinated in 1968.

Following the ceremony, the King Center will host an event to launch its 50 days of nonviolence campaign, which calls for youth to abstain from violence for the rest of the school year.

On April 5, the King Center and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a program aimed at engaging dozens of college and high school students to discuss relationships between public health factors that lead to violence.
