Where To Find The Fireworks This Fourth

Communities all over the state will celebrate Independence Day with fireworks displays. Many of them are open to the public free of charge. Check out our list to find fireworks near you!
ALBANY
The City of Albany presents its Fourth of July Fireworks and Festival at the fair grounds. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 9:15 p.m. Admission is $2 per person or $5 per car (up to six people.)
ATHENS
Athens First Bank and Trust sponsors the annual Star Spangled Classic at Bishop Park. Activities begin at 6:00 p.m and include a patriotic parade, live music and fireworks.
ATLANTA
Centennial Olympic Park will host its annual 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks Spectacular. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks should rocket into the sky around 9:40 p.m.
More than 200,000 people visit Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead each summer for the mall's "Legendary 4th." Music begins at 6:00 and fireworks are scheduled for about 9:35 p.m.
AUGUSTA
The City of Augusta and its partners put on an "Independence Day Celebration" at the Augusta Common. The event lasts from 4:00 - 10:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
COLUMBUS (Phenix City, Alabama)
Columbus no longer has its own fireworks show, but people are invited to take part in the festivities at the Phenix City Amphitheater just over the Alabama line from 7:30- 9:30 p.m. The "Independence Day Celebration" will include live music and fireworks.
Callaway Gardens will host its annual "July 4th Star Spangled Beach Party". The beach opens at 7:00 a.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
GAINESVILLE
The American Legion will put on its annual fireworks display at Laurel Park at 8:30 p.m.
MACON
Fireworks will light up the sky over Lake Tobesofkee Thursday. Admission to the park is $3 per person and fireworks will begin 9:30 p.m.
SAVANNAH
Savannah Riverfront is hosting "Fourth of July on the River." Music begins at 8:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30. The event is free.
ROME
The Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Authority will host a free "4th of July Community Celebration" at Ridge Ferry Park. The event will include family games and a concert by the Rome Symphony Orchestra. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m.
THOMASVILLE
Internet company Community Network Services is sponsoring Thomasville's "4th of July Celebration and Fireworks" in Remington Park. Activities begin at 6:30 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
VALDOSTA
Families can enjoy a fireworks display over the mall thanks to the Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority. The "Spirit of America Fireworks Extravaganza" is free of charge.
