Prior to joining GPB's Lawmakers show, Brenda worked for KDKA-TV, the CBS-owned and operated station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for more than 30 years. She also worked at the NBC station in Pittsburgh in the same capacity. Brenda has a passion for story telling about unsung heroes who make a difference when they see a need. She created a segment called “ON A POSITIVE NOTE” about those unsung heroes. It earned her an Emmy. Brenda has a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from American University. Brenda now calls Atlanta home.
