School lunch is how many children are fed. During the summer break, they are at risk at going hungry throughout the day because they no longer have access to school meal sources.

Recognizing this problem, the Georgia Food Bank Association has banded together with the Arby’s Foundation, the Georgia Department of Education - Nutrition and the Bright from the Start program to offer summer meals across the state.

More than 2,500 sites will provide lunch.

You can learn where to find free summer lunch programs in several ways. Text FoodGA to 877-877then enter your location when prompted. The nearest three free meal program sites will be texted back to you.

Parents can call 2-1-1, the United Way’s helpline, to get information on free lunch sites. Or you can navigate to the nokidhungry.org/free-summer-meals site or the whyhunger.org/findfood site to get a list of places.
