Agriculture educators at the University of Georgia say the state continues to have a 30-year shortage of Agriculture teachers for Georgia high schools. A starting Agriculture teacher is expected to earn $45,000 per year. According to officials at the Tifton campus of UGA, students earning a degree in Agriculture Education have a 95% job placement rate.
