Finding a job is tough enough without worrying about job listing scams.

Sadly, the digitized world we live in also allows for scam artists to take advantage of those looking for a job.

The cost of posting employment opportunities online is essentially nothing when using sites like Craigslist or LinkedIn. The cost to job seekers is considerable. It is estimated that scams associated with fake job listings cost Americans over $300 million annually.

The scam artists often request an applicant’s social security number and other private information.
