Koch Foods to Create 750 New Jobs in Harris County

Governor Nathan Deal has announced that Illinois-based Koch Foods will invest $49 million to expand its’ processing facility in Harris County. The new investment is also expected to create 750 new jobs.
“Georgia is the top producer of poultry in the United States and Koch Foods is one of the reasons why,” said Deal. “Our network of supporting resources and experience makes our state ideal for any existing company to expand its operations and remain competitive. We are committed to helping our producers grow, to creating opportunities for citizens and to making our state the No. 1 place in the nation to do business.”
Koch Foods has seen explosive growth since it began vertical integration in 1995. Koch Foods was and recently listed by Forbes magazine as one of America’s “Largest Private Companies”.
