ExactTarget Coming to Atlanta and Bringing 200 Jobs
Primary Content
Indianapolis-based digital marketing company, ExactTarget, has announced it will establish a regional headquarters in the Buckhead area of Atlatna.
Last year ExactTarget purchased Atlanta-based marketing firm Pardot.
The move to Atlanta is expected to create 200 new jobs.
According to a report in the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta was one of many cities under consideration, but that the supply of technology talent made a difference, ExactTarget considered Chicago and the Charlotte, N.C. area for the regional expansion. Company CEO, Scott Dorsey, was in Atlanta last week, according to a source. ExactTarget plans to make Atlanta its largest operation outside of Indianapolis, a source told Atlanta Business Chronicle in October. ExactTarget picked Atlanta because of the availability of technology talent and because Pardot’s Buckhead office building has vacant space to support the expansion. Atlanta is the e-mail marketing capital of the world, with major players such as Silverpop and MailChimp, said Simms Jenkins, CEO of BrightWave Marketing, an ExactTarget customer. With major e-mail companies and dozens of marketing tech companies, agencies and brands, ExactTarget will have a strong talent pool, with deep expertise, to pick from, Jenkins said.
