A 20-story Ferris Wheel Could be Open by June in Atlanta

The Atlanta City Council voted unanimously to allow the construction of a large Ferris Wheel in downtown Atlanta adjacent to Centennial Olympic Park. The attraction will be the latest in a number of tourst attractions that have become a staple for the City of Atlanta economic development.

The 20-story Ferris Wheel could be constructed and open for operation as soon as June. City action was necessary to ensure the project works with local utilities, sidewalks, and the streetcar project.

The project, known as Skyview Atlanta, is being funded privately and on private property.
