A New Super Walmart in Cumming is Expected to Employ 250

CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate firm, has announced that Walmart will build a new location on Peachtree Parkway in Cumming, GA.

The Super Walmart will be 177,000 square feet and is expected to open in 2014. Once fully operational, the Cumming Walmart will employ an estimated 250 people.

According to a report at AccessNorthGA.com, “We had to overcome numerous hurdles to get this deal to closing from zoning, DOT approvals, appeals of permits, etc., but ultimately Walmart got the best site in the submarket that will create hundreds of new jobs,” said Scott McGregor, executive vice president, CBRE Land Services Group.
