GE has announced an $88 million expansion at its LaFayette plant. The Roper Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of GE, GE Profile, and Monogram cooking appliances, the TimesFreePress.com reported today.
The Roper Corp. plant expansion will have a ribbon cutting on Friday with Governor Nathan Deal, U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson and plant Manager Scott Ossewaarde.
Currently the plant employs 1,300 employees, according to the TimesFreePress.com. This in-sourcing is part of a $1 billion investment the company is putting into its appliance division.
