The Georgia DOL is proactively helping job seekers learn the skills to land a job.

The Georgia Department of Labor is hosting a Job Readiness and Employer Hiring Event on Tuesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 15th from 10 am to 4 pm each day. The event will be at the Jeff Davis Middle School Yellow Jacket Gymnasium located at 93 Collins Drive in Hazlehurst.

The following sessions will be offered by the Special Workforce Assistance Team:

"Marketing Yourself Using Social Media"

"Interviewing Skills"

"Job Search"

"Creating a Value-based Resume"

"Effective Employment Applications"

"How to Succeed at a Career Expo"

There will also be the opportunity to file job applications on site for over 250 positions with 10 different job titles for a local company.
