AT&T has donated $75,000 to the Family Connection/Communities in Schools of Berrien County to help at-risk teens, reports the Valdosta Daily Times. The money is used to help support high school students that are at-risk of dropping out of school.
"AT&T has demonstrated unparalleled leadership in supporting efforts to create a 21st century education system and American workforce," said Constance Thomas, Executive Director of Family Connection/Communities in Schools of Berrien County.
For every thousand students that receive the extra academic support, mentoring, career development and additional resources, an additional 48 students graduate when the CIS program is fully implemented (Valdosta Daily Times).
