Delta is recalling all of its furloughed pilots that would like to return and will also be hiring 50 pilots per month "through early this year," reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Evidently, there is a wave of pilot retirements that is leading the airlines to accelerate hiring. Furthermore, there are new rules requiring an increase in training for new pilots and more rest for existing pilots at passenger airlines, the article reports.
