Mattex USA will soon open a new manufacturing plant in Murray County

Representatives from the Georgia Department of Labor will team up with textile manufacturer Mattex USA to hire what is being described as “a large number of employees” for the company’s new manufacturing facility in northwest Georgia. Company officals say some 200 people will ultimately be employed at the new plant.

Mattex USA is currently hiring for upper level management positions.

A large scale job recruitment event with the Department of Labor is scheduled for March 5 in Murray County.

According to a release from the Georgia Department of Labor, the current open positions include an information technology (IT) administrator, a weaving and beaming department manager, a manager for the extrusion department, multi-craft maintenance technicians, and maintenance mechanics.
