Construction employment has hit its highest levels since 2009, reports the Construction Citizen and AGC America.
In a recent report by AGC Chief Economist Ken Simonson, construction employment (both residential and non-residential) has shown monthly and yearly increases.
Residential construction employment, which includes residential building and specialty trade contractors, has increased 4.8% for the year.
Non-residential construction employment, which includes building, specialty trades, and heavy and civil engineering construction, rose 1.4% year over year.
The Atlanta area in particular is one of the cities mentioned for positive economic conditions for both multifamily and non-residential construction.
