There are two new No. 1 teams in this week's GPB Rankings. Buford moved back to No. 1 in Class 6A  and Rabun County jumped into the top spot in Class 2A.

Buford ascended back to the top after No. 1 Lee County was rocked 56-30 by Class 5A No. 1 Warner Robins. Lee County dropped to No. 2.

Rabun County moved up a peg after No. 1-ranked Fitzgerald was beaten 17-0 by Class 3A No. 5 Pierce County. 

The Warner Robins victory left GPB's Matt Stewart contemplating how the Demons would stack up against the other big schools around the state. 

"So if this was the English Premier League, I'm pretty sure Warner Robins would be promoted to 7A," Stewart said. "After demolishing Lee County, I'm convinced that the only teams that might be able to beat the Demons are those top three teams at the top of the 7A Top 10 - Collins Hill, North Cobb and Milton."

Stewart even supports a season-ending Tournament of Champions to determine the best team - regardless of classification. 

"I propose having a tournament at the end of the season, just a few more weeks to determine the overall state champion in Georgia among the eight state champions," he said. "I'm kidding of course, but that would be fun!"

There weren't many changes on Jon Nelson's ballot. He said, "I didn't drop Ware all that far in Class 5A because of the crazy ending with Benedictine. Same with Callaway playing up in class against Thomas County Central. I still view them as one of the top teams in their own classification."
