Jog with Your Dog for a Cause
Primary Content
Do you like to jog with your dog in the park? This weekend you’ll get to do just that while competing against other dogs and their jog loving pet parents at the Atlanta Dog Jog. (Very catchy and easy title to remember don’t you think?) It is being held at Piedmont Park on Saturday May 4 at 9 a.m. Presented by the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association Foundation, the event is a run and walk that features a one mile and two mile course.
Whether you are a marathoner or couch potato, you will be comfortable in either course. Plus strollers and wagons are permitted if your pets don't feel like running around. Registration until Wednesday May 1st is $25 and $30 thereafter. Each additional dog is $15. The registration closing date is Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 3 p.m
The Atlanta Dog Jog is raising money for both the VetHeart of Georgia (formerly the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association (GVMA) Foundation) and Canine Assistants, an Alpharetta, GA based non-profit organization that breeds, raises and trains working dogs for children and adults with physical disabilities and seizure disorders.
