Atlanta-filmed Muhammad Ali 'Fight Night' series takes viewers — and shoppers — back to the 1970s

Atlanta Crossroads Mural Festival brings local artists together in celebration of public art

20,000 square feet of wallspace distributed across three buildings in southwest Atlanta will soon bear new murals by 50+ local artists. The Atlanta Crossroads Mural Festival (ACMF) inaugural mural festival will culminate in a celebration of public art with a market featuring more than 30 local artists, makers, and food vendors this Sat., July 27 from 12-6 p.m.

‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ ‘Casablanca’ on the bill for Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival at the Fox

Tickets are available now for the 2024 Coca-Cola Summer Film Festival at the Fox Theatre, Aug. 23-25. The opening film on Aug. 23 has not been announced, but there will be a sing-a-long showing of “The Little Mermaid” at 3 p.m. and “Bohemian Rhapsody” at 8 p.m. on Aug. 24,.

'WCLK at 50' puts Lil John Roberts in the spotlight. Here's why the drummer is an Atlanta music icon

This year, Clark Atlanta University's radio station, WCLK Jazz 91.9 FM, is celebrating its golden anniversary. As part of the Atlanta Jazz Festival, the station will be honored in a "WLCK At 50" event at Atlanta's Symphony Hall on May 24, featuring Lil John Roberts and an Atlanta All-Star Band. Roberts may not be a household name, but this "musician's musician" has played with luminaries including Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Prince, Elton John and Janet Jackson.

'Thank God for this urban genius': Inside late Atlanta music visionary Rico Wade's farewell

If it could be summed up in a sentence: Rico Wade's "celebration of life" April 26 at Ebenezer Baptist Church was something Rico Wade would understandably not stop talking about. A U.S. senator eulogized him, the current and a former mayor of Atlanta shared their passionate remarks, the 52-year old was given the city's honor and it was announced that a music industry executive training program will be launched in his name.
