Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp left Monday on a trip to Asia — his sixth overseas since taking office in 2019 — to focus on economic partnerships for Georgia. The Kemps' trip also included a visit to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which runs across the Korean Peninsula and was established in 1953 under the provisions of the Korean Armistice Agreement.
In June, the mega-popular K-pop group had already announced a hiatus. On Monday, the band's label and management company announced that all seven BTS members will be enlisting in the military.
The Biden administration agreed to a second cost-sharing partnership with an Asian ally. It's now negotiated with Japan and Korea to share the costs of housing U.S. forces in their countries.
