Billions of dollars each year are available in student loans and scholarships for college.
So with all this money, there is bound to be interest from students, parents, and unfortunately, scammers.
This week on Georgia Works Radio we talk to Fred Elsberry, the President of the Metro Atlanta Better Business Bureau to find out ways to avoid getting ripped off when looking for college funding.
Also this week we look at a new program designed to rapidly train more Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) teachers in Georgia.
Five Georgia colleges have been chosen to take part in the Woodrow Wilson Foundation program, which will educate and train new STEM teachers who agree to work in some of Georgia’s most challenging schools. We talk to Dean Arlinda Eaton of the Bagwell College of Education at Kennesaw State University, to find out how this new program will impact students in Georgia.
