Alexandria Dowell: Hello, my name is Alexandria Dowell and I'm with Elevate mentoring group. And I'm here with:

Officer Bryan Mosley, LaGrange Police Department: Officer Bryan Mosley with LaGrange Police Department.

Alexandria Dowel: I have a question for you today. What does democracy mean for you — to you?

Officer Bryan Mosley, LaGrange Police Department: To me, democracy means people have a choice in how they control their lives. People have a choice to be free and to be bridge voters and help everybody in their community.

Alexandria Dowell: OK, thank you.

Chariya Johnson: Hello, my name Chariya Johnson, say from Troup County from Elevate Youth, a mentoring program. Today, I'm here with:

Officer Bryan Mosley, LaGrange Police Department: Officer Bryan Mosley with LaGrange Police Department.

Chariya Johnson: My question for you today, Mr. Mosley, is what does democracy mean to you?

Officer Bryan Mosley, LaGrange Police Department: It's people's will and ability to control their lives. And also, it's a good opportunity for them to be bridge voters.

Chariya Johnson: Thank you for your definition.

Tayshawn Pendleton: I'm Tayshawn Pendleton, and we're from the LaGrange College men's basketball team.

Chariya Johnson: These are our mentors. And the question we have for y'all today is what does democracy mean to y'all?

Colin Slatton: Democracy means having the ability to express your opinion politically.

Ethan Richerzhagen: Democracy means, for me, being able to have your voice heard. And in a big, big setting. 

Tayshawn Pendleton: ...Democracy, to me, means freedom and the right to vote.
