On day 37, the “Unmask Georgia Students act,” allowing parents to opt their child out of wearing a mask without punishment, is signed into law. In the House, an intense debate ensued over SB 345, which prohibits Georgia government agencies from requiring the COVID-19 vaccine. Students from across the state stood at the Capitol stairs protesting the ban of divisive teachings in HB 1084.
