Surrounded by family and friends, the “Dean of the House,” Rep. Calvin Smyre, said his final goodbyes to the house. On the Senate side, the 2023 Fiscal Budget, HB911, was passed. But a House state income tax bill caused a bit of friction between the two chambers. And Governor Kemp signed HB1013, Speaker Ralston’s Mental Health Parity Act, into law.
