Georgia Tech Job Generator Growing Itself
Primary Content
The Advanced Technology Design Center (ATDC) at Georgia Tech has helped create thousands of jobs by working with more than 150 companies during the crucial business start-up phase.
Since 1980 ATDC has been a major job creator in Georgia. Now, the organization has announced it is expanding its reach by hiring new technology catalysts, opening new satellite facilities, and funding entrepreneurs-in-residence. Currently ATDC has two facilities on the Georgia Tech Campus and one in Savannah.
“Startups are key to job growth in Georgia and ATDC companies play a critical role in positioning Georgia as a leader in emerging technology growth sectors,” said Blake Patton, ATDC’s Interim General Manager. “Georgia Tech’s increased commitment to innovation and entrepreneurism will enable us to better support our diverse portfolio of innovative startups – particularly those with specialized research and product development needs.”
ATDC will be hosting their annual “Startup Showcase” on April 22 at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. The event will feature entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and technology leaders.
