The world’s greatest golfers have descended upon Augusta, GA for the annual Masters Golf Tournament, and with them, hundreds of thousands of fans ready to spend money.
The Masters was created by legendary Georgian, Bobby Jones, and is now recognized as the “Super Bowl” of Golf.
Nearly a quarter million people visit the Augusta area each year for Masters festivities. The estimated economic impact, according to the Augusta Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau, is a whopping $110 million.
Tickets for the Masters event are incredibly difficult to obtain. The current waiting list is reported to be 40,000.
