Kennesaw State University – Stronger than Ever
Primary Content
Kennesaw State University President, Dan Papp, delivered his State of the University speech on Wednesday.
He highlighted the school’s amazing success story. Fifty years ago there was no campus, no students, no staff. Today, Kennesaw State is the 3rd largest school in the University System with over 30,000 students, faculty, and staff.
Papp stated that the economic impact of KSU is almost $900 million.
Last year the school was one of only 21 across the nation to receive an “A” rating from the American Council of Trustees and Alumni for its curriculum.
According to a report in the school paper website, Papp announced that construction will begin on the $39 million Dr. Betty Siegel Student Activity and Recreation Center, which will feature indoor and outdoor pools, five basketball courts, a multi- activity court, eight tennis courts, a weight and fitness area, a rock-climbing wall, an indoor track, a wellness center, and volleyball and racquetball courts.
