Atlanta-based SPANX is Growing Again

The famous women’s bodyshaping undergarment company, SPANX, is growing fast and is eyeing an Atlanta expansion.

According to a report from the Atlanta Business Chronicle, SPANX will build an Atlanta flagship store. Spanx just hired commercial real estate company Jones Lang LaSalle Inc.’s Atlanta office to help carry out the expansion. Spanx leases about 50,000 square feet in Buckhead’s 3344 Peachtree tower, where it has almost doubled its number of employees in recent years.

SPANX currently has more than 150 Atlanta-bsed employees and leases about 50,000 square feet in Buckhead.

Sara Blakely, the founder, was named the world’s youngest, self-made female billionaire by Forbes Magazine and one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People. SPANX is expanding into new product categories and is beginning to open retail stores.
