Health IT Job Opportunities Doubled in Atlanta During 2010-12

A recent jobs report from the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) and Burning Glass International show overall job growth in metro Atlanta to be strong.

The greatest sector of strength is found in technology, specifically Health Information and Mobile.

The report tracked the number of advertised & posted positions. Posted positions for mobile technology jobs increased by more than 100 percent from 2010 to 2012. The number of Health Information Technology jobs increased by 167 percent during the same time period.

Atlanta also outpaced the nation in the area of digital media, where the job postings increased by 48 percent. Meanwhile software developer openings increased by 51 percent.
